Background:
Ogun-Oshun River Basin Development Authority is an agency of the Federal Government of Nigeria established:
a) to undertake comprehensive development of both surface and underground
water resources for multipurpose uses, and
b) to boost food production by encouraging active participation of farmers in irrigated agriculture The activities of the Agency cover essentially the basins of the Rivers Ogun and Oshun, and the States of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo and Oshun; while the Headquarters of the Agency is at Alabata, Abeokuta.
The Headquarters complex include the offices, a commercial guest house, workshops, farm estate and sprawling staff quarters for management, senior and junior staff.
For utilities, the complex is served by public power supply, backed up by an array of generating sets. A river is also dammed to create a reservoir for water supply.
OORBDA’s Requirements
OORBDA had built a water treatment plant for the Headquarters Estate in the early 1980’s, with storage and distribution network. The elevated storage tank has since collapsed and the treatment units have become dilapidated.
OORBDA desired a new treatment and elevated storage facility to be installed and has contracted KEMENG to execute same.

Facilities Provided
KEMENG has delivered a 50m 3 /hr water treatment facility as well as a 90,000 litre Glass fibre-Reinforced Polyester (GRP) water storage tank, elevated to 6m. Pipe arrangements have also been reconfigured to ensure all parts of the Estate are serviced consistently and sustainably.
